電話でタクシーを予約する / Made a book by Telephone @ 249日目

[未だに電話での会話は苦手だ]
[I am not good at making a call….]

土曜日と日曜日にドイツに打ち合わせに行くことになった．格安の飛行機を探していたら朝7時ヘルシンキ発フランクフルト着という便が見つかったので注文した．しかし良く考えてみると，その便に乗る為にはバスとか電車では空港に時間までにたどり着けないということがわかった．

仕方がないので，タクシーを予約することにした．

ヘルシンキでは流しのタクシーはほとんどなく，市内数ヶ所にあるタクシー乗り場でタクシーに乗ることになる．しかし土曜日の早朝にタクシーがあるとは考え辛いので，予約をしてみることにした．

Juhaniに教えてもらい，タクシーを予約することにしたが，ほとんどのところが電話予約しないといけない．電話で話すのは未だに慣れないが，勇気を出して電話をかけてみた．

名前，住所，目的地，電話番号等々を伝えて，あっけなく予約完了．これで土曜日のことは一安心だ．

I am going to Frankfurt on next Saturday and Sunday. I booked cheep flight from Helsinki to Frankfurt, but the boarding time is 7AM! I thought there were many public transportation services to airport in morning, but I found there were not.

Because there were no alternatives, I made a booking a taxi. My colleague Juhani kindly told me the taxi companies in Helsinki, but I must call them to make a booking.

To tell the truth, I am not good at speaking on the telephone. But I made a call with courage. I told my name and addresss, time, destination and my phone number. That’s all. It was very easy!!

I was relieved.
